Wedding Suppliers Your Frequently Asked Wedding Fayre Questions, Answered

What size are the stands?
All stands are approximately 6ft rectangular, with a white table cloth. We can also provide a round table if you prefer, this would, for example, seat 6/8 around.  We always allow space at either side, and include two chairs. We would always ask that only one stand per customer, as space is limited, unless of course you have booked two stands.

Would I have access to electricity for my laptop?
Yes electricity is available at the venue's, we always recommend that if you do
require electricity that you bring along an extension cable just in case you need it, and that all wires are secure, behind your stand, and if required taped to avoid tripping .

Do you have restricted numbers for different sectors for stands on the day of the event?
Absolutely, we aim to offer as much variety on the day as possible, we usually work on the rule of  two stands from each wedding sector, with the exception of Photographer's, where we will accept up to four, or five, if one is also a Videographer. If we book a  large venue, these figures could go up by one. It is very sad when we have to 'turn away' business but we always suggest that you book month's in advance to avoid disappointment, as we do get booked very quickly.

How many people would you hope to visit on the day?
This has varied from each of our wedding fayre's, our best being over 700 visitors on the day, and on average around 300 visitors on the day. It, is, unfortunately something that is never guaranteed, however we do put the same amount of time, work, planning, advertising, and organising, on average into all of our wedding fayre's.  And we know that any of our Wedding Professionals understand this and appreciate this. We would love to have a crystal ball to advise but thankfully our stand holders appreciate that life is not so helpful. So if you ask this question, you may be a bit embarrassed by the answer. We would all love to have over a 1,000 visitors on the day, it is a gamble, we can only hope for the best result. Thankfully the majority of our wedding professionals that have attended many of our wedding fayre's understand that the majority of our events have a fantastic response.

Do you ever hear from Suppliers that have had bookings from your wedding fayre's months down the line?
All the time, we love to receive their emails and hear from them.

Where do you advertise?
We advertise all year round, on our website, in bridal magazines, on all wedding fayre websites, 'whats on websites', at the Hotel Venue's, banners, on all of our literature, and emails, in our own 'Elegance Brides' Booklet, and in local newspapers. Also, we always ask our stand holders to advertise the event that they are attending on their website to enable their customers to come along and see them. We also email hundreds of  Brides to inform them of our forthcoming wedding fayre's and the
Venue's where we hold our events  also inform all of their wedding enquiries of the wedding fayre.

Can you keep us informed of all of your forthcoming Wedding Fayre's?
Yes we email reputable Wedding Professionals our monthly 'Elegance News', newsletter.

I have been to other wedding fayre's and the Organisers have been quite abrupt and said that we can not leave early, do you operate this way?
Absolutely not! It is your day, I will inform you of the times of the event, but, if you need to leave early for what ever reason, this is fine, I would just ask that you come and say good bye.

How much time would we have to organise and set up our stand?
Your Elegance Organiser will be there all day from two hours before the wedding fayre is open to the public, we always ask that you arrive no later than one hour before the event is open to the public, and we always ask that you DO NOT arrive more than two hours early, ie before 10am if the event starts at 12pm, as the venue is usually organising breakfasts for their guests, and also just in case the room is not fully prepared. Anyone can leave at any time, we do just ask that you say goodbye.

What if there is another Wedding Fayre on the same day in the area?
Great! Most of our Brides will visit a few in one day if they can and make a day of  it.

Do you provide 'goody bags' ie for putting our literature into, for the Brides?
We used to do this, however, we now find that a lot of our stand holders usually give bags out, so, we tend not to do this any more. Also, we found, that alot of the Suppliers were giving out their literature twice, and sometimes three times on the day, both  in our bags, and also to visitors on the day who they spoke to, and some were just left behind, therefore to 'save some more trees', we do not do this now.

We want to book quite a few of your events, do you offer a discount for this?
Yes, if you want to book for six of our Wedding Fayre's you can do so for the price of five, therefore we offer one event stand free.

Can we take Photographs on the day?
Yes, of course, however, I would just ask, out of courtesy, beforehand in case a stand holder does not want their stand photographed.

I have booked at your next wedding fayre, I am a bit nervous, as it is my first one, and we are a new business, any tips for me?
Yes, lot's of re-assurance, we have all been there, and a high percentage of people who book stands at my wedding fayre's are new to wedding fayre's. Please remember that we are all one big team on the day, introduce yourself to the others, and make the most of the fantastic networking. Also, I have seen it time and time again that Bride's buy on Personality and Presentation, therefore it is your 'stage' for the day, enjoy it, you will meet some fantastic people.

Can I sell some of my products on my stand on the day? The reason why I ask is that I went to one wedding fayre and the Organiser shouted at me, in front of customers, and said that I was not aloud to sell my hand made chocolates on the day.
Yes of course you can, I am not pleased to hear that you were treated this way. You, after all, were a valued customer of theirs! And should have been treated with respect, regardless. I do hear some scary stories sometimes, it is quite upsetting.

We have booked at some of your forthcoming wedding fayre's, and we have a shop, we are going to put a poster up in our shop window, to let our Customers know that we are attending the wedding fayre's, is this ok?
Definitely! Always inform your customers that you are going to be there on the day, I am sure that they will love to come along and see you.

Maria, we would like to have our link put on to your website, do you charge for this? Also, we have heard via facebook that you designed your website yourself is this true? We love it, it is very professional, and elegant. And also, how many views do you receive on average?
Ohh thank you very much.  We get alot of compliments about our website, and yes I did design it, and I had to do it in 24 hours!! As my previous Web Host went out of business and 'left their offices' and disappeared, which meant so did my website, so I had to design the new web site  in one day, I didn't eat all day, I just kept working on it. We are currently designing our Links Page, please contact us to discuss this further, we just ask that we also have a link on your web page, and we do regularly check that our link is on your web site, and if not, we have to remove your link as so many people have asked us if they can be on our web site. And at present, we have over 700 views per day.

Would there be food and drink available on the day?
Yes, we ask that the venue provide tea and coffee for the stand holders only up until the time the event opens to the public, you may also bring lunch if you wish and also, the venue bar and restaurant will be open, during the event.

Do you take a registration list at your events?
Yes certainly. We offer a free raffle with fantastic prizes for all of our visitors to enter, at all of our events.

We were at another wedding fayre, and because there were only a few visitors, one of the stand holders moaned all day and made the others feel uncomfortable, they had turned up late and accused the organiser of not advertising the event well, how would you deal with this?
Thankfully we know that we put alot of time, and expense,  into our advertising, and such alot of  organising and planning, and we are so passionate about the business, we do not have a crystal ball, we can not guarantee numbers on the day, but we will do our best for promoting the event in the interest of everyone attending. We would have spoken to this person, and if it had continued we would have asked them to leave, that is terrible! (But they do say that 'there is always one'). Please don't worry we know who the professional wingebags are and we never recommend them to our brides. Some people just want to complain for the sake of complaining and we have come to realise that they do not see the full picture and we would NEVER  recommend them, or ask them to attend one of our wedding fayre's in future.

We are a florist in North Wales, we would like exclusivity at your wedding fayre, as it is not really a big area for wedding fayre's we would want to be the only florist at your event for customers. How would we go about this?
No problem,we would normally accept two florist's at our wedding fayre's but if you would like exclusivity at the event, where by you are the only florist, then all you need to do is book for two stands and then this is guaranteed for the day.

Will there be a fashion show?
We hope to have a fashion show at all of our events, we know that this is a real crowd pleaser, and great fun on the day. The only time that we would not charge a Company for a stand at one of our events is if, they are a Bridal Company who wish to organise a fashion show, as we know, only too well, how much work goes into this, however it is, of course, in the Bridal Companies interest to do this, as it is great advertising for them. We do not get involved in the organisation of the fashion show, and we know that they are in big demand, we have organised Wedding Fayre's in the past without a fashion show and this has been fine, as we have such alot going on throughout the day at our events, ie Singers, Bands and Tribute Artists, and a Professional Toastmaster. Our Fashion Show's do not necessarily need to have a Cat Walk as such, we have had fashion shows using the Venue Dance Floor with seating around, and this has been absolutely great. we aim to try to arrange a fashion show at all of our forthcoming events, with our best endeavours.
